Wooden paddles

Range of paddles, for canoeing, kayaking, SUP in whitewater or calm waters, sports paddling, leisure, or multi-day touring, made using laminated wood assembly.

Each paddle is handcrafted with meticulous attention to details.

The preferred wood species are cedar, aspen, oak, ash, and other locally sourced woods, chosen with respect for the environment and based on the assembly pattern and desired aesthetic for paddles that are light, flexible, and comfortable or more rigid and powerful, depending on the type and conditions of use.

The blades are reinforced with a layer of fibreglass and epoxy resin.

The blade edges are reinforced with a filled epoxy resin strip, providing protection for the often stressed tips.

The paddles are fully protected by an epoxy coating, with an anti-UV varnish.

For straight paddles, several handle shapes are available, in Pear or T shapes, depending on uses and ergonomic comfort.

Each of our paddle models is the result of a compromise between the density of the wood species and the epoxy resin reinforcements. It is a compromise between lightness, robustness, durability, and performance.

Each paddle is unique. The wood colors and weights are indicative due to the very nature of the material and artisanal manufacturing.
For the same species, depending on the soil on which it has grown, even within the same stand, and often even on a single specimen, the characteristics can change.
Densities and colors may vary slightly.
Respectful of material, we make the best of what the forest has to offer.
